Patches for Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition on PS4 & Switch

Hello friends,

New patches for Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch are now live! The updates include some in-game improvements for PlayStation players, and a Persistent World patch for Switch players. Read on for details!

  • Note: The Xbox Multiplayer Patch will be released later this month. Stay tuned on Beamdog’s Twitter and Facebook channels for news.

PlayStation 4 Patch

  • Framerate improvements for areas where detailed environments created visual stutter.
  • Improvements to multiplayer stability.

PS4 Patch Download Instructions:

The new patch should automatically begin downloading when you launch Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. If not, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Make sure your PlayStation 4 is connected to the internet.
  2. Select “Check for Update” for the game on the XMB.
  3. You should get a notification that there is an available update.
  4. Select “Downloads” from the Notifications Menu and press “X.”
  5. Select Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition with “X”, and then confirm the update by pressing “X” again.
  6. Have fun!

Nintendo Switch Patch

  • Fixes the connection issue that prevented players from re-entering the Arelith persistent world after logging out.
  • Includes a compatibility update that lays the groundwork for Switch players to access the Ravenloft persistent world in future. We’re working closely with the Ravenloft community to help them make the required updates that will allow Switch players to access their server.

Nintendo Switch Patch Instructions

The new patch should automatically begin downloading when you launch Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. If not, follow the instructions below:

  1. Make sure your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet.
  2. On the HOME menu select icon for the game you want to update (without launching the game).
  3. Press “+” or the “-” button.
  4. Select Software Update > Via the Internet.
  5. This should begin the update.
  6. Have fun!
